So long dear Pope

Pope John Paul II passed away yesterday afternoon, approximately 3:00 EST. He had been battling poor health for years, but 2005 was particlarly harsh on the aging pontiff and ulitimately took his life.

I'm not a Catholic, but I am a Christian. Even though I do not agree with the entire Catholic Agenda, I recognize the Pope's many achievements and his ability to somehow draw people together.

I think we are all blessed to have been able to live during a time with possibly the most progressive and worldly Pope to sit in the Vatican.

Rest in Peace with our Heavenly Father.
