When your work is rewarding

Today I had to go to one of my client's office. I particularly like this place. It's an "English Style Pub" by the name David Copperfield's, named from the book, not the magician.

So today I put my nose to the grindstone and got through all my work pretty quickly. About 2-3 hours or so and finished by the tail end of lunch. At which time Keith invited me for lunch. I can't say no. They have great grub at this place. We sat at the bar and the bartender Rebecca took care of our orders. She even suggested a good beer to accompany the burger. I can never remember the beers they have there, as they have 30 on tap, but this one really knocked my socks off. It tasted good and one pint went straight to my head.

They have a very nice team working there now. The manager, Kim, was running around keeping her eye on things. The waiter and waiter-in-training, whose names escape me at the moment, were attentive to the other patrons. Everyone seemed merry. Sitting at the bar Rebecca was friendly, but not chatty.

Then a guy sticks his head in and says the umbrellas from the tables outside were blowing away. I went out with Keith and Rebecca to round them up. That's when I noticed this bartender was running down the street with six-inch heels. It looked kinda funny if she wasn't such a tall hot chick. It just seemed right.

As usual I got my lunch gratis, so I left a very nice tip for our server for her kindness. Ahh. Yummy food and something to feast my eyes on. A rewarding day at the grind. ;)
