These guys have been around since about 1980 when electronic music first started gaining popularity. This four-man group from Belgium is very interesting to say the least. You never see the 4 members on stage, one guy, Daniel Bressanutti works computer controlled sounds offstage. Patrick Codenys stands towards the back with his keyboards, while Richard Jonckheere (aka Richard 23 and Richard JK) and Jean Luc De Meyer sing and dance. Richard has given up doing any drum and percussion sounds now. He does the majority of the vocals during a show. The only other people who are onstage are the drummer Tim Kroker (unofficially a member of the live act), and whomever is around this time on guitars. One time I saw them a dude named Andy had the job, but I read that there was a guy named Elko also in that spot. But on this DVD there are no guits.
I've been discussing what it was like the times I saw them.
This appears to be after the release of their latest album PULSE, in Lokerse Feesten 08/2004. They play ONE song from that album: TOGETHER, which is done quite well, but might have too much assistance from offstage sequencers. Otherwise teh seems to be very similar to what I remember them to be like. Great mix and levels.
This show seems to have a lot more of a lighting show and lasers than when I saw them. It's really entertaining too. And it's a fantastical ball of electric ecstasy.
