Morning commute with a terror threat

Hello everyone! Nothing happened, at least not yet, though I doubt anything will come of this.

So with all the fanfare and news reports yesterday about stepping up the Police presence, I think I actually saw FEWER cops this morning!

I thought, for sure, that Flushing would be crawling with cops. The #7 line is known as the busiest line, carrying the largest number of people daily. The station at Main Street is HUGE. Not a single cop to be found.

I didn't see an officer until I got to Queensborough Plaza, and not another one thereafter.

I sit in my office, now, trying to figure out where the cops are, not that I really cared. But I left my briefcase at home today because they ASKED US TO DO SO.

So I'll have another report for the evening rush.

New Yorkers have been keeping extra vigilant the last bunch of years after 9/11 around the Jewish Holidays. After next Thursday I think the tensions will drop considerably.
