The final chapter is #13. Will it unfold an unlucky tale?
Well, if you checked the pics you'll see that she's definitely finished, and in the short time I had. It was built over the course of 14 days, but I had a concert and a Broadway show during that time. Not to mention the nights with the inlaws and the time I had to tow my sister's car home with my old station wagon. These were all events that kept me working on Catwoman beyond 1AM daily.
And if you noticed, in one picture there's a plaque next to my work... the "Coolest Cat" Award. Lately the sponsors of the theme contests have been offering sneaky special awards and prizes in addition to the usual Gold, Silver, Bronze, Honorable Mention. So the judges did something I thought was very smart, they wanted to give the awards out to as many different people as possible. So, as I understood it, they chose their two "special awards" first, and then judged the rest of the pool in usual manner. The other special award was "Craziest Cat" that went to Russ for his Catapult. The judges were hoping for more entries that pushed the boundaries of defining a model as a cat. Bravo Russ! Then I was really the only one with a non-military entry, and a very large female figure no less! And with that in mind I was awarded the "Coolest Cat." I was deeply honored and humbled. I worked my butt off and it paid off. Catwoman part #13 is the happy ending to this WIP tale.
I'd like to thank the sponsors for giving us the opportunity to build for such a wonderful theme.
PS: If the pics don't look that great, it's because the semi-gloss and gloss blacks of the leathers and vinyls portrayed were about impossible to photograph in a decent manner. If I get better pics, I'll post them up.
