Catwoman: Progress pt 4

(click pics for larger versions)
So here's today's update. Last night I sanded the putty in the gaps along the arms and head. The fit of any of those parts wasn't too bad except for the head. They seemed to enjoy grinding down this kit so they ground away a good portion of neck when they removed the casting lug. I sculpted in a couple wrinkles and folds from kneadatite and red glazing putty to make it look better.

The figure, itself, is done and ready for paint. I still have to decide what I'm going to do with the whip. The whip on this kit is more of a cat o'nine tails type. However she uses a regular Indiana Jones type whip in the comic and animated series (or so my research has yielded. I didn't know there was even an animated series featuring this costume nor have I seen a Catwoman comic in years.) I might use the kit whip for the upcoming theme contest, but will fashion a better, more accurate whip for the first BPMS Quarterly Contest of 2006 in February. I see wire being the basis for that upgrade.

Don, a dear friend from the forums (aliases: Resin Monkey and Gluefinger) is honoring my work with a custom made base. That should arrive by Monday. I can't wait to see his work up close!

I probably won't have an update for at least a day and a half. At this point it's just painting and pinning the whip.

By the way, I included a pic of the figure next to a Sharpie Marker so you get a feel for the size of this thing. She's BIG! BIG, I TELL YA!
