Some 242 News!

From Eric O'Brien:

Subject: FRONT 242 Turns 25 Years Old!!! / Original Lithographs For Sale. LTD TIME.

Happy New Year Everyone!
Not just a New Year but a special year. As this marks the 25 year anniversary of Front 242! In a genre of music where bands have either faded in to oblivion or simply have become redundant and unoriginal much to fast Front 242 are one of the very few whom have persevered.
Surviving 25 years in a genre of music that has not gained acceptance, major radio airplay, dedicated monthly magazine etc. is no small feat but Front 242 like the "Special Commandos" that they are have indeed survived the cold music biz and in some places a fleeting scene.
This past Nov 2005 N. American tour was proof positive that the band has stood the test of time. For me it was incredible to witness such a broad range of ages tha t made the shows attendance. From the ol' schoolers who have been with the band since its beginnings to the teenagers that were mere kids when I attended my first show.
For those who wish to send the members of Front 242 a special anniversary message please do and it will indeed be forwarded to them. E-mail it to me here at soulmanager242@yahoo.com
Lots too look forward too this year. Everything from tours, to releases to new products. Although I've been slow you will see a new www.front242usa.com with some of the actual visuals from this past tour courtesy of its creator Etienne Auger.
In the meantime I am making a vailable once again an opportunity I once gave in 2004. That special opportunity is to own a piece of Front 242 history.
In 1992 Patrick and Daniel embarked on a 3 city U.S. Tour and one in Belgium displaying their artistic talents both through hand paint and computer generated design under the moniker of Art and Strategy which still remains to be the name of their design company.
The exhibition marked a display of the bands Tyranny >For You<>
Now, through Transmission 242 U.S.A. / www.front242usa.com these lithographs will be made available for an extreme ltd amount of time. From now Jan 14th - Feb 28th you have the opportunity to own a true collectors piece from the Tyranny era, one of the most intense and powerful times from our favorite Belgian electro pioneers.
By clicking on to this link www.front242usa.com/merchandise and scrolling down a bit you will find photos of the entire available catalouge as well as prices and payment plan instructions. Any further questions e-mail me here at soulmanager242@yahoo.com
Here is a rare chance to own a piece of Front 242 history. There are many items out there that are marketed as collectible but this TRULY is. None of these pieces were duplicated in excess of 50, some as low as 35! This is an investment that will last beyond the end of the band. Although a pricey investment it is still a savings from what they were offered at the exhibitions themselves which STARTED at $500!
On another note. New Yorkers in the Queens area get your VCR's and recordable DVD players ready for starting this week for the next 3 weeks you will see an interview with Jean-Luc and Patrick Codenys from Irving Plaza in New York City recorded before the show on Nov 21st 2005.
It airs on Public Access television and will be aired in 3 parts repeating itself during the same week. The name of the show is Ms. Divine's Tee Hee Heure and is hosted, directed, scripted etc by New York's own Ms. Divine. The show is primarily sketch comedy (performed entirely by her) but it does include variety and Front 242 will be part of that variety so rev up your recorders and get ready.
