This pendant was saved by Lucian from his love Sonja after she was burned alive by her own father, Viktor, for loving a lycan and carrying a hybrid baby.
It appears that the pendant had a much greater importance in the grand scheme of things than previously thought. In Evolution it's true nature is revealed, and what secrets it keeps hidden... literally!
