On DVD: Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo

Sneaky Castro!!! It took days for me to remember the Urban Dictionary to look up what that actually is. But before I go into that...

Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo is the sequel to the cult fav Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. I heard a lot of bad things about this movie before I rented it. But was the first one really some sort of film classic that shouldn't be bastardized by Hollywood? Hell NO! Hollywood is all about whoring so there NEEDED to be a sequel! So what if it was mean and redundant. It was still funny and kept you watching the screen. Plus this time with the whole TJ Hicks (Eddie Griffin) being the he-pimp who keeps getting caught doing things that appear to be gay, it only got funnier. Rob Schneider is funny to look at to start with, but as Deuce Bigalow the man whore trying to solve the case of the Amsterdam Man-Whore Murders it gets better. Then to top it all off they introduce a bunch of terms like "Sneaky Castro" and "Portuguese Breakfast" that you laugh at like a moron because you've never heard of anything so ridiculous in your life.

Is it great film making? Hell no! Will it make you laugh? Hell yeah! Isn't that what comedy is supposed to be about? Warning, if you don't like low-brow humor, steer clear. Otherwise... Enjoy!
