It's summer!

Today is the first day of summer and it sure feels like it here in New York. The sun is out, it's warm and there's a nice refreshing breeze. I don't know what the Farmer's Almanac is predicting for this summer, but I'm looking forward to a pleasant and (hopefully) not too humid and uncomfortable time.

My favorite part of the summer is that schools are out. No school buses. No kids on the buses and trains. No teachers on the roads. Traffic gets light. Public transportation speeds up. Everything about the commute to and from work becomes far more bearable. Nothing like the summer break!
