Friedrich, I knew ye well

I have a body type that generates heat. I feel comfortable on those cool Spring and Autumn days. I can bundle up nicely and feel fine during the Winter. During the Summer, however, I suffer. So I waited a little while, probably too long, to put up the air conditioner for the bedroom. That was on Saturday morning. Saturday I flipped on the a/c right when we were getting ready to go to bed. It never got too cool that night. I assumed we waited too long and it was an uphill battle to cool the room off. But on Sunday night I flipped on the unit a good couple hours before I went to sleep. It still didn't cool down. When I took the face plate off of the six year old Friedrich machine, I saw the condenser was frozen over. I knew we would get no cold air from it again.
Last night I went to the local P.C. Richards and get a new 8,000 BTU Frigidaire and installed it as soon as I got home. That was the first comfortable night of sleep in a while.
