This past Sunday started a three day cold snap. Monday morning was 10 below zero, Fahrenheit. Brutal. But with any cold snap, it bugs out as quickly as it set it. Yesterday afternoon the temperatures started going up but snow settled in, just in time for the evening commute. It took me three hours to get from the office to my home last night. By this morning it was around 40 degrees and rain was coming down steadily. Guess what? Public transportation was crawling. can someone explain to me how trains are slowed down by rain? These commuter carriers run on eletrcity and on rails. Why should weather affect them at all? But it always seems to. It took me more than two hours to go from my front door to my office this morning.
When it rains, it pours.
At least it's Wednesday. Happy Hump Day! The week is halfway over already.
