Not so chipper morning

Usually I love bright, sunny summer mornings. The air is clean and clear. The sun is bright and gold. The rabbits are hopping around. The squirrels are going their tricks. The Cardinals are doing their aerial acrobatics.

Until the Volvo SUV in front of my car runs them over. A couple of cardinals killed in an instant. The guy didn't even hit the brakes. A sad way to waste a beautiful little life.
