Bootsy Collins New Album In Stores TODAY + Tour Date Announcement

Funk legend Bootsy Collins' first new album in 5 years, 'Tha Funk Capital of the World,' is sure to be this week's grooviest release with Ebony Magazine describing it as "writhing, lively" and USA Today promising "a groove worth waiting for."
 
On June 3, Bootsy launches his U.S. tour with a show at Club Nokia in LA. See below for a full list of tour dates including performances at Chicago's Congress Theater, Bonnaroo, and B.B. King's in NYC.
 
To celebrate the album release, the Mo'Nique Show will dedicate an entire episode to the iconic funk pioneer. The show, being taped this week, will feature Bootsy Collins discussing his storied career and performing his new song "JB - Still The Man" featuring a live collaboration with Rev. Al Sharpton and the Mo'Nique Show houseband.

On May 3, The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles will host an educational Q&A session and bass demonstration entitled "An Evening With Bootsy Collins."
