NYC-based electro-pop artist STALKING GIA yesterday premiered her new single "Born Free" exclusively at NYLONMagazine, which is available for streaming now on her official Soundcloud. "Born Free" is the follow up track to her debut single "War Paint," released in September of last year. NYLON calls the new track "one super-cool anthem for self expression."
Stalking Gia has been buzz-building since the end of 2014, when she dropped her debut single and music video "War Paint." The release received rave reviews from the Hype Machine community at blogs like Earmilk, Kick Kick Snare, Salacious Sound, Muumuse, and others. "She has a sweet, measured voice that portions out each note carefully and deliberately," says Earmilk on Stalking Gia's captivating vocal abilities.
"'Born Free' is an extremely personal and honest song for me, as well as for the world around me," says Gia. "Discrimination towards others is a constant battle we all unfortunately have to face every single day. I wanted to write an anthem that promotes peace rather than violence towards others."
