Review Tuesday: KMFDM: HELL YEAH

KMFDM, doing it again...

KMFDM
HELL YEAH

KMFDM has been on something of ONE NEW RELEASE ANNUALLY schedule for a while. This year's addition to the catalogue is HELL YEAH.
On “HELL YEAH”, our favorite pioneers of industrial rock once again redefine themselves while, at the same time, staying true to their roots.

KMFDM’s signature sound, a crossover between techno/dance and heavy metal is combined with sometimes political, sometimes ironic lyrics and an underlying humorous edge.

With its cover artwork having been created by Aidan Hughes aka BRUTE!, “HELL YEAH” will be available on 1CD Digipak and 2LP Gatefold.
This year we have a baker's dozen of tracks including a remake of their own RIP THE SYSTEM. You have your usual batch of thought provoking lyrics bundled with an ultra-heavy beat. They usually throw in a curve-ball. This year I feel that FAKE NEWS is the big surprise. Instead of joining the trash Trump bandwagon they actually discuss how the news pushes its own agenda for a sneaky version of stealth propaganda and indoctrination.

As always, I love new work for Kap'n K, Lucia, and the gang. Great sound. Fun music. Ultra-heavy beat. KMFDM keeps putting out new records and the kids just love it!
