- Who is the more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him? - Obi Wan Kenobi
- "The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool." — William Shakespeare, As You Like It
April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools' errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible. Traditionally, in some countries, the jokes only last until noon. If you play a trick on someone after this time you are the April Fool. Elsewhere, for example in Ireland or France, the jokes may last all day.
