Review Tuesday: COCAINE BEAR (2023)

Cocaine Bear | Universal Pictures

COCAINE BEAR
(2023)
When a shipment of cocaine goes missing, a momma bear devours it, leaving a trail of terror behind.
In a day and age when people are way too easily offended and take everything WAY too seriously, what is the ONE movie we really needed?

COCAINE BEAR

Cocaine Fucking Bear. I remember the urban legend as a child. A shipment of coke was dropped in the woods. A bear got to it first. It died. It seemed almost like some innocuous concept for, perhaps, some dull documentary.

NOPE.

We got an an action-packed horror movie choked full of gore. Oddly, I felt COMPELLED to watch it!

It's pretty much what you'd expect. It's ridiculous and over the top. It is also nicely polished with an impressive cast. So, is it worth watching? Remember, this is meant to be a goofy horror film and it gives you just that. Don't expect anything too cerebral and don't think about it too hard and it's actually very entertaining, provided you enjoy gory horror.

After Mrs. Bax0jayz and I watched it we agreed that COCAINE BEAR exceeded our low expectations. It was also much more fun than we would've guessed. I would call it worthwhile if this sort of thing might be up your alley.
