The Crucifixion
(2017)
When an atheist journalist investigates the violent death of a nun during an exorcism, she learns that there are things beyond her understanding.
You never know what you're going to get when you select a movie off of Amazon. Some are better than expected, Some are simply terrible. This one looked intriguing so we gave it a shot.

Nicole Rawlins (Sophie Cookson) is a fundamentalist atheist. She also happens to be an investigative journalist who loves covering stories that give religion a black eye. When she stumbles across a story about a nun who died a horrible death after having been "crucified," she travels to Eastern Europe to interview the priest responsible. However, once she arrives on the scene, strange things start happening immediately.

I have to say, this was one of the better horror films that I have never heard of. That's a surprise because it came from the producer of Annabelle and the writers of The Conjuring. Go figure? The cast is great. The special effects were really good. It's a mostly well polished film. There were a couple scenes with some oddities and inconsistencies but this was pretty enjoyable. Worthwhile to watch.
