In the cinema: Legion

When I saw the movie posters with the tag-line When the last angel falls, the fight for mankind begins I knew that Legion was a movie worth seeing.

When God decides that it is time to destroy mankind (again! remember the flood?) he tells the angel Michael (played by Paul Bettany) to lead the angels to do the dirty job. Michael has loved humans ever since god put us on this planet and refused. He came down to Earth to assist in one occurrence to happen, the birth of the the son of a single waitress names Charlie.

The rest of the movie is a series of action scenes and thought provoking discussions. Needless to say there are heavy theological and philosophical themes to this flick that also has some pretty violent scenes.

The cast was well chosen and there were no filler personalities. I found the entire package to be very rewarding ad entertaining. Plus, since Mrs. bax0jayz didn't fall asleep during the slow spots, I know that it had some charms to it for people who are easily bored.

This film is disappearing fast from theaters already, so if you were thinking about catching it on the big screen, time's running short. it would probably be just as entertaining at home on DVD or cable.
