Why I hate some songs

I never liked Metallica. In the beginning I hated Foo Fighters. There were a lot of songs that I just didn't like. I couldn't my finger on it.

Then about a year ago a bunch of bands did covers of Metallica songs. I found that I did like the songs... when someone else did them. So what's the difference? Proper production. I think Lars had a lot to do with Metallica's production and leans heavy on the drums. That's what I didn't like. The drums are too prominent. The same thing with Foo Fighters.

When I figured this out it hit me like a hammer especially since I AM A DRUMMER. A self hating drummer? Maybe a sensible drummer. Whatever.
