Dennis Weaver Dies at 81

Actor Dennis Weaver has died at the age of 81 of complications from cancer Friday at his home in Ridgway, in southwestern Colorado.

Weaver is best known for his roles as deputy Chester Goode in the TV classic western "Gunsmoke" and the canny New Mexico deputy solving New York City crime in "McCloud."
